About Mawaddah Counseling

Named from Qur'an 30:21 — the affection (mawaddah) and mercy (rahmah) Allah places between spouses.

Our mission

Protect the family before it breaks. We prepare couples before marriage, counsel them during it, and support them for all the years after — telehealth and in-person across the United States, multi-language — more than fifty languages, with licensed therapists who understand Islamic faith and culture. Every saved marriage is a saved home, and every saved home protects a child's future.

Scholarly Review Board

Every assessment question, every Islamic framework, and every report template is reviewed and approved by our board of qualified scholars and senior licensed clinicians — with sources cited from Qur'an and authenticated Sunnah. Nothing reaches a family without review. Community imams and counselors may propose additions; the Board governs what is approved.

How we work

A private AI-guided assessment (chat or voice) each spouse completes alone; personal reports grounded in Islamic guidance and proven relationship science (attachment theory, EFT); then a licensed, faith-competent therapist — matched to your state, language, and preference — leads your program. The AI works for your therapist, never instead of them.

Our promises

Your privacy is a trust (amanah): your spouse never sees your individual answers, and your data is never sold, shared for advertising, or resold — ever. Licensed professionals make every clinical decision. And if anyone is ever in danger, a human and the 988 lifeline are one step away, day or night.

Board of Directors

The leadership entrusted with Mawaddah's mission — protecting the amanah of the family.
