Our first mission is prevention: early counseling, safety planning, and parenting support so that child-welfare involvement never becomes necessary.
When social services are involved, we help parents navigate the process — counseling documentation, reunification-plan support, and referrals to qualified family-law resources — working toward safe reunification wherever possible.
We recruit, prepare, and support Muslim families to become licensed foster parents through their state's licensed agencies — so that if placement ever happens, children can remain in homes that preserve their faith, language, and identity.
Mawaddah is not a foster placement agency. Foster licensing and placement are controlled by your state and its licensed agencies. Our role is recruitment, Islamic preparation and ongoing support of foster families, and advocacy so that agencies can find Muslim homes when a Muslim child needs one.
